Historically, Ajmer always had great strategic importance and was sacked by Mahumud of Ghazni on one of his periodic forays from Afghanistan. Later it became a favorite residence of the great Moghula.

Binaker’s history dates back to 1488 A.D. when a Rathore Prince, Rao Bikaji- a desendent of the founder of Jodhpur(1459 A.D.), Rao Jodhaji, established his kingdom here.
