The Minas form the second largest tribal community in the state.
Their physical aspects include tall, athletic figure with sharp features and a light brown complexion.
Their traditional strongholds include the region of Shekhawati and eastern Rajasthan.
The Minas became second citizens with the coming of the Rajputs.
During the British rule; the tribe was declared a ‘criminal tribe’ in 1924 which further led to the downslide of their social conditions. |
