Bhandarej Tour

Bhandarej is a small village located around 62 kms away from the "Pink City" of Jaipur in Rajasthan.

With a colorful history dating back to the 11th century, Bhandarej is also home to many temples and monuments dating back to the pre-medieval period.

Bhandarej is located in the Dausa district of Rajasthan, right on the Jaipur - Agra highway.

With many delightful sights and sounds surrounding it, Bhandarej is indeed a delightful place to explore.

The village also has a rich tribal presence that is sure to fascinate any visitor.

Meanwhile, Bhandarej is also an excellent gateway to the wildlife sanctuaries of Bharatpur, Sariska and Ranthambore.

An interesting mix of Mughal and Rajput styles of architecture, the Bhadrawati Palace was built in the 11th century. It was converted into a grand luxury hotel in 1994 and is by far the most important attraction of Bhandarej.

The Kumbhani Rajputs well built Bara Baori the five-story step in 1732 AD.

A secret tunnel to the palace connects a classic example of the Hindu style of architecture, the Bara Baoli.

Formerly known as Virata Nagar, Bairath is around 110 kms away from Bhandarej.

This ancient city is of great historical importance and even finds mention in the Mahabharata.

Bhandarej offers easy access to Sariska and Ranthambore. Meanwhile, the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is around 110 kms away.
